Von Mai bis Juni 2016 wird Prof. Dr. Victor I. Stoichita, Université de Fribourg, mit der neu eingerichteten Panofsky-Professur am Zentralinstitut für Kunstgeschichte ausgezeichnet. In Verbindung damit schreibt das Zentralinstitut für Kunstgeschichte ein Panofsky-Fellowship aus. Das Fellowship richtet sich an Promovierende und Post-Docs (bis fünf Jahre nach der Promotion), die an einem Forschungsvorhaben zur Renaissance arbeiten.

Erwartet wird Präsenz vor Ort, eine Vorstellung des Themas und Mitarbeit an den Aktivitäten des Zentralinstituts für Kunstgeschichte und des Instituts für Kunstgeschichte der LMU. Das Stipendium hat eine Laufzeit von drei Monaten und sollte zum 1. Mai 2016 angetreten werden.

Die Höhe des Stipendiums beträgt für DoktorandInnen monatlich 2.300 EUR, für Post-Docs 2.800 EUR; an BewerberInnen aus dem Ausland kann ein einmaliger Reisekostenzuschuss gezahlt werden.

Applications invited: Panofsky-Fellowship in connection with the Panofsky-Professorship at the Zentralinstitut für Kunstgeschichte Munich

Prof. Dr. Victor I. Stoichita, Université de Fribourg, will hold the newly established Panofsky-Professorship at the Zentralinstitut für Kunstgeschichte Munich in May-June 2016. In connection with this professorship the Zentralinstitut für Kunstgeschichte seeks applications for a Panofsky-Fellowship.

The fellowship is intended for doctoral students and postdoctoral scholars (who have graduated within the last five years) who are working on a project related to Renaissance art. Fellows are expected to maintain a presence at the ZI, to present the Fellowship project, and to partake in the activities of the ZI and the Institut für Kunstgeschichte of the LMU. The fellowship lasts three months and commences in May 2016.

Graduate fellows will receive a monthly stipend of 2300 Euros. Postgraduate fellows will receive 2800 Euros per month. In addition, it will be possible for non-residents of Germany to take advantage of a one-time travel subvention.
