Shane McCausland is Percival David Professor of the History of Art at SOAS University of London. He was previously Head of Collections and Curator of the East Asian Collections at the Chester Beatty Library, Dublin. He has published books and articles, and curated exhibitions on many aspects of the pre-modern, modern and contemporary arts of China. His most recent monograph is The Mongol Century: Visual Cultures of Yuan China (1271-1368) from Reaktion Books/University of Hawai'i Press.
